Does Anybody else agree?

Bands are usually better when they first start off because they have had their whole lives to write and refine the material present in their first two albums or so. But, of course it depends on the band as well. When a band becomes "too popular" they are pressured to produce music that will please everybody, so i guess i would lose interest if their sound made such a radical change that it might as well be released as new band that conflicted with my musical preference. Plus, the members of the band have their own goals for how they want to sound. The band may want to head in a musical direction that could potentially alienate their fanbase. But that is the right of the band.
